Addyson and Owen

We took Addyson and Owen to the kiddie pool and they loved it. Owen was splashing and having a blast and Addyson was carrying Owens flip flops around licking the salt off of them. They both had fun and were part of the action most of the time.

We managed to wear them out most days causing them to fall asleep in all different places. The picture of Addyson asleep at dinner was a first. She has never fallin asleep anywhere other than her carseat and crib but she was worn out. Another spot she fell asleep that shocks me was in the shower just before dinner one night.

First stop....BAHAMAS

We didn't have a lot of time in the Bahamas so we didn't plan any excursions. We took a cab to the Atlantis hotel and walked around the grounds there. They have a huge aquarium and it was fun to see. We managed to draw a lot of attention to ourselves jumping off the fountain but it was fun.

The big white tent you see in the picture between the two buildings is the straw market. That's where we went shopping and bargained down on some purses. We had fun and I walked away with a cute purse.

Embarkation

Because there were so many of us we had to fly in different groups. We were the first to take off and we met everyone in Orlando Florida at a hotel we were staying at.

Waiting to board our ship.

We roamed all over the ship trying to find our way around the first night. It was a beautiful sunset and we were enjoying the weather.

Addyson loved the wind

Grammy Saves the Day

Every year Grammy so kindly takes our family on an amazing vacation. This year she booked us on a Carribean cruise. There were 22 of us that went and it was so much fun. The Carribean was beautiful and was the inspiration to her new look.

1st Belated Birthday Post

Okay Addysons birthday was two months ago but I feel bad she didn't get the proper post and I know some of you couldn't be here. Her birthday was two days before we went to Japan and since then we have been going and going so I haven't had a chance to post pictures. Her party was a butterfly theme. I had all the kids go on a butterfly hunt with the nets I bought them and I made butterfly cookies that they colored with ediable markers. Addy had butterfly cakes that she wasn't sure about playing in but when we took her out of her seat I think she felt like digging in a little more. We had to help her get her hands dirty and she wasn't loving it very much. It was a fun day and I can't believe my tiny baby is getting so big.

Ninja Addy

This was our first day home. We loved Japan it was so much fun to visit and learn about the culture. Addyson looked so cute in her little japanese ninja outfit. Thanks Mom and Dad for being such great hosts and taking us everywhere. It was a very memorable trip.

Nagoya Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens

The last day we were there we went to a sushi place where the sushi rotates on a conveyor belt and you grab whatever looks tasty and every plate is a dollar. It was pretty good sushi for a low price. After sushi we headed on over to the zoo. It was Addys first time going to the zoo and it was fun because she knows some of the animal sounds. We didn't see much of the gardens because we didn't have enough time but the part we did see was so beautiful.

This is seriously the longest escalator I've ever been on or seen in my life. It was crazy!!!!

One of the funniest things were the translations. I haven't posted many of them but Jeff found them so hilarious this is just an example of what it was like. Wouldn't you ask somebody who spoke english before you posted it on a machine???

Shiraito Falls and The Milk House

We went up to Fuji and went to Shiratio falls my Mom calls them "Fuji Falls" because it's easier to remember. We were very lucky to get such a great view of it because most of the time it is covered by clouds. We went so many places and I loved them all but I really loved Fuji.

This is a Tanuki statue they were everywhere. As you may notice he is very well endowed. There are many tales about this creature but we heard it symbolizes posterity and prosperity.

After the falls my Mom took us to The Milk House it was the funnest little creamery i've ever been to. The cow stalls are right next to the little store so you get the full effect of how fresh it really is. You may be thinking that the smell and dirty cow stalls would turn you off but it was the cleanest dairy farm I've ever seen, and trust me I've seen a few. It was the best ice cream i've ever tasted.
